    Spanish FR-7 Carbine

    This is a Spanish FR-7 carbine chambered in 7.62x51.  It’s a bolt action rifle that was rebuilt by Spain from their stocks of 1916 pattern Mausers.  Originally chambered in 7MM Mauser, it was rechambered to 7.62x51 as Spain prepared for NATO compliance.  There is a great amount of information on the internet about if this rifle is suitable for use with 7.62x51/.308 Winchester - I'll leave that up for you to decide.

    This particular rifle has parkerized metal in good condition.  No active rust, although there are places on the metal where there is minor pitting.  Action is smooth and the rifle is complete.  There was a chip of wood missing in the stock on the upper portion of the wrist and I replaced it was a piece of wood, then got sloppy with the wood epoxy filler.  The repair looks much worse than it actually is. The handguard doesn't fit great - I made it from an Enfield handguard that I had laying around. Bore is in good shape and the bolt matches the receiver.

    I would be open to trades of other firearms of equal value - not interested in trades on other items.
