Spanish FR-7 Carbine Project Rifle

This is a Spanish FR-7 carbine chambered in 7.62x51. It’s a bolt action rifle that was rebuilt by Spain from their stocks of 1916 pattern Mausers. Originally chambered in 7MM Mauser, it was rechambered to 7.62x51 as Spain prepared for NATO compliance. There is a great amount of information on the internet about if this rifle is suitable for use with 7.62x51/.308 Winchester - I'll leave that up for you to decide.

This particular rifle has parkerized metal in fair condition. No active rust, although there are places on the metal where there is minor pitting. Action is smooth and the rifle is complete except for the sling eyelet near the muzzle. The stock on this rifle is made up of pieces of other stocks I had laying around, and I mis-measured when I put them together. As a result, the handguard doesn't fit great and the endcap is a bit loose. The accessory tube under the barrel doesn't completely seat either.

The good news is that to fix this it would likely take a cut out of the middle of the stock and re-glue it together. I've just got too many projects and not enough time and I'm ready for this one to be a project for someone else.

I would be open to trades of other firearms of equal value - not interested in trades on other items.
