| Location: Lighthouse Landing Resort & Marina – The Wake Club Grand Rivers, KY The Wake Club is looking for a skilled Line Cook to prepare delicious meals according to our menu. You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery. An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. They must be able to move around the kitchen while multi-tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is helpful. Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.) The ability to follow recipes. Storing excess food at the correct temperature to avoid spoilage. Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet company standards. Ensuring that cooking utensils are clean before each use. Cook food in various workstations Able to multitask Work under pressure Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen Cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas. Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner. Efficiently resolving problems with customers’ orders. Ensuring that food health and safety regulations are followed. ServSafe food handling certification will be required Ensure all food and other items are stored properly Check quality of ingredients Monitor stock and advise Chef or manager of shortages Ability to follow all sanitation procedures Ability to work on a team Ability to follow orders Very good communication skills Excellent physical condition and stamina Reliable transportation/Valid Driver’s License Experience needed Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.) Interested & experienced applicants please call 270-362-8201 or send resume to Sandy@lighthouselanding.com |
